Palworld Home Sweet Home update (version 0.7.0) arrived on December 17, 2025, marking a major stepping stone toward the game’s eventual 1.0 launch. This update isn’t a new island or quest expansion; rather, it focuses on foundational systems. The developers highlight that it includes “new content on base building, items, and game features”. Notably, this update introduces a crossover with the FPS game ULTRAKILL, experimental PvP support, and Steam Workshop mod support on PC. Below, we dissect every aspect of palworld home sweet home update, from new Pals and weapons to combat tweaks, base-building improvements, and balance changes.

ULTRAKILL Crossover: New Weapons and Armor
One of the biggest highlights is the Palworld × ULTRAKILL collab. Patch notes explicitly shout “ULTRAKILL Collab!” introducing two armor sets (V1 and V2) and new weapons from the shooter. For example, the Marksman Revolver gains a special “Coin Toss” mechanic: tossing coins while aiming causes a “Ricoshot” – bullets ricochet off the coin, dealing area-of-effect damage. Both ULTRAKILL armor sets have a built-in Blood is Fuel effect (they automatically repair when dealing damage). To unlock them, you need Ancient Technology Points (3 points for V1 Armor, 5 for V2). These additions deepen end-game combat, giving fans of fast-paced violence plenty to enjoy.
The collab also adds the Core Eject Shotgun and Legendary versions of the revolver/shotgun, giving players heavy firepower options. Together, these ULTRAKILL-themed additions expand Palworld’s arsenal and reward players familiar with both franchises.

Base Building Enhancements
Palworld’s core is building bases, and Home Sweet Home vastly improves that system. 48 new building parts were added, mainly triangular foundations, walls, and roofs in all materials (wood, stone, metal, glass, and a new Japanese style). These allow more architectural creativity (e.g. triangular rooftops and diagonal walls). A new Paint Mode lets you recolor any foundation, wall, stair, or roof in the base under the Foundations tab.

The Build Menu UI has been completely overhauled to a list-based layout. Instead of wading through a 3D tile interface, players can now scroll through categorized lists of parts – a change already praised for intuitiveness. Other quality-of-life tweaks include an orientation arrow when placing buildings, and the ability to align Palboxes to foundations and roofs. All together, these updates let veteran builders refine and personalize their bases more than ever before.

New Pals and Raid Content
Home Sweet Home introduces a brand-new raid boss: Hartalis, King of Salvation. To summon Hartalis, collect his Slab Fragments and combine them into a Slab item. You can now challenge Hartalis either in your home base or in a new “Raid Battlefield” zone. This flexibility means you can fight bosses in the comfort (or danger) of your own designs or take them on in an open arena for a quicker showdown.
HARTALIS
*Stats are estimates based on standard Raid scaling. Toggle ‘Ultra’ above for endgame values.
- Hunt Fragments: Collect Slab Fragments from high-level dungeons.
- Craft Slab: Combine fragments at a workbench to create the Hartalis Slab.
- Build Altar: Construct the Summoning Altar in your base.
- The Choice: Insert the Slab. You will be asked to fight at Home OR teleport to the Raid Battlefield.
Hartalis deals mixed damage. Prioritize Fire-type Pals for offense. Consider fighting in the Raid Battlefield to prevent your base structures from being destroyed during his AoE attacks.
The content guide details: “King of Salvation, Hartalis” is summoned at a Summoning Altar, and “Players can now choose to face Hartalis in their own base or fight him in a new separate battlefield”. Hartalis has a powerful kit (grass/physical damage), so expect a tough fight. In addition, an “Ultra” version exists (higher difficulty). Tier-list wise, many players will rank Hartalis at S+ for endgame challenge.

PvP, Mods, and New Mechanics
This patch also experiments with full PvP functionality. Server hosts can toggle PvP on or off – when on, players can harm each other freely, base Pals become hostile to trespassers, guild chests can be accessed by enemies, and base defenses scale up. (Note: it’s still labeled “experimental,” so expect balancing quirks.) On PC, Steam Workshop support was added, so players can download mods (and soon create their own).
The melee combat system received a subtle but powerful tweak: all melee weapons (swords, katanas, beam swords) now have combo attacks and charge moves. Pressing left-click (or right-trigger) unleashes a new special attack for katanas and beam swords. This makes close-range combat more engaging. There’s also the Revolver’s coin toss mechanic mentioned above, blending ranged and melee tactics.

Balance Changes and Stats for Palworld Home Sweet Home Update
Numerous numerical adjustments were made in v0.7.0. New implants arrived at the surgery table (e.g. Mine Foreman, Logging Foreman, etc.) to boost specific gathering skills. Uniquely, all Pals were changed so they no longer lose Sanity when hit, removing a troublesome penalty from combat. On the status-effect side, the severity of negative debuffs has been roughly halved. For instance, Hungry now reduces stats by –10% (was –20%), Starving is –20% (was –50%), Overfull hunger drain is +50% (was +100%), and so on. These “math changes” make late-game activities less punishing (you fatigue slower and retain more stats under penalties).

Other minor tweaks include skill attribute changes: Broncherry’s Body Smash skill changed from neutral to Grass, and Rushoar’s Heavy Charge changed from neutral to Earth. Such changes affect damage effectiveness against certain foes. Altogether, the balance tweaks polish endgame progression and set the stage for the full release.
Community Tier Lists and Strategy
Veteran players will use Home Sweet Home’s changes in many ways. Below is an interactive tier list you can drag to rank which new feature or content you value the most. Drag items to reorder the S/A/B tier as you see fit. (For example, PvP fans might put combat changes at S-tier, while base-builders prefer the triangular pieces.)
